Brookland operate a specialist hosting service at our Cheam office this is designed to provide robust hosting within a highly skilled location where we can also offer extensive service including full Management of hosted system. Brookland provide a fully managed Full Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) on a Cisco 7200 and we have a dedicated RIPE allocation of IP networks. This gives Brookland total control over our IP ranges and allows us to partner with any other ISP without needing a share of their IP address. This independence is vital to protect and serve our clients effectively. For total service resilience we have completely independent fibre optic connection via both BT and Telewest. BT services connect to the local BT exchange and the Telewest Fibre is connected directly to their Croydon centre. Both fibre connections enter our centre at different points and are routed separately in the street. Brookland operate a high reliance MPLS circuit via Telstra to our disaster recovery centre in Leeds. The high quality real time connection allows first class DR services to operate.

 

Brookland hosting centre is supplied with electricity from two different EDF Sub-Stations to ensure continuity of supply even in the unusual event of a complete sub station outage, this also provides electricity supply in two different parts of the building and from two different directions within the street. In the very unusual event of a total area wide failure we can operate from a Backup diesel generator until external supply is restored.

 

For electronic security our centre is equipped with a modern alarm system which is monitored 24/7 with police response via RedCare. We also operate CCTV and high security electromagnetic door locks. Brookland also operate Biometric security with Finger Print access scanners to ensure only authorised personal can access high security areas. Server Hosting areas have locking doors and bars on windows. All equipment is kept in lockable racks and we are not subject to any flooding risks.

 

For the very best security every client is protected by a dedicated firewall and therefore is protected from internal and/or external risks. It is vital to always protect data from both internal as well as external dangers.
